This is the fundamental fact, which distinguishes any given Muslim Matrimony from other weddings throughout the world. In this country, marriage is considered as a lifelong affair. It is a promise the bride and the groom make to each other to live together until the time of their deaths. The brides are believed to be the husband’s “ardangini”, meaning the half part of the husband’s soul. It is also referred to as one soul and two bodies.
